SAIC Roewe Marvel X Electric SUV

Roewe, the Chinese brand that resulted from the remnants of Rover, presents an SUV again at Auto China. Yet something special is going on: this Marvel X is electric and actually goes into production.

If the Marvel X is familiar to you, that is not surprising, because it is the production version of the concept car Vision E in the same color. The differences between the two are small. The Marvel X has slightly more realistic-looking wheels, normal, opening doors with regular handles and slightly different rear lights. The interior also undoubtedly loses some of its luster, in favor of daily usability and favorable production costs. Image unfortunately is not there yet.

What remains is the electric powertrain. Although little is known about the car, he seems to have an electric motor in the front axle and a copy at the rear axle. The Marvel X is remarkably enough the electric version of the RX7, a yet to be unveiled SUV above the RX5 that is very similar. The fairly large car in Europe supposedly competing with models like the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe, while the RX5 the Peugeot 3008 and Volkswagen Tiguan on the grain. At the moment there are no concrete indications that this will happen in the short term.
