Dutch football club Vitesse Arnhem have agreed a deal to sign Chinese youth international Zhang Yuning from Hangzhou Greentown, according to a report from Sina Sports.

The 18 year old midfielder has taken part in various trials and youth competitions for the Dutch Premier League club since 2011 and is said to have impressed enough to earn a full-time contract.

Vitesse are traditionally seen as a feeder club for more established sides, including English team Chelsea, and are known to give opportunities to and help the development of youth players.

Before joining up with his new side, Zhang will compete in tournaments for both Hangzhou Greentown and the Chinese youth national team. It has been rumoured that he may take part in language lessons before arriving in the Netherlands.

He becomes the second Chinese player to sign for European sign in the last six months, after international player Zhang Xizhe joined German giants Wolfsburg in the new year.

Zhang Yuning versterkt Jong Vitesse
