The world’s fastest express train made its debut in China on Wednesday. It runs at a speed of over 380 kilometers per hour. China now also boasts the world’s longest express railway which runs for 1,000 kilometers.
With an investment of more than 110 billion yuan ($16.1 billion), the expressway stretches between Wuhan and Guangzhou crossing three central and southern Chinese provinces. It can complete the 1,000 kilometer trip in three hours.
And an advanced brake system also ensures safety. It can also automatically receive notice of signal failures within a range of 32-kilometers. It is also the first self-developed long express railway in China.
China is to start a rail revolution in the next three years, the Chinese government will invest 300 billion U.S. dollars heavily in large-scale construction of high-speed rail network, to plan new built 20,000 km, including 13,000 km of track is designed to speed up to 350 kilometers of high-speed rail. For a population of 1.3 billion is a big country, high-speed railway is being make in this country become smaller and smaller.
