MG has relaunched in Australia with the MG 6 small sedan, which is available to its future customers from 22,990 AUD, plus on-road costs.

According to the carmaker, the MG 6 is coming in three grades, and each one will be offered as a GT five-door or a Magnette four-door sedan. The cheapest version of the MG 6 is getting front fog lights, remote central locking with alarm, trip computer, cloth trim, height and tilt adjustable steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, USB, CD player, 8 speakers, front side and curtain airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels and more.

The mid-range Comfort will add the leather wrapped steering wheel, slide sunroof, rear parking sensors and cruise control, for 24,990 AUD, while the top of the line Luxury model will set you back for 27,990 AUD, and it will add the electrically adjustable front seats with heating, dual-zone climate control, headlights and rain sensors, rearview camera, leather trim and more. The MG 6 is powered by a 1.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 118 kW at 5,500 rpm and it has a peak torque of 215 Nm available between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. The unit is mated only a five-speed manual transmission.

盖世汽车网4月18日报道 据澳大利亚媒体报道，当地时间4月17日，中国上汽旗下MG品牌在该市场发布。这是MG品牌在澳大利亚市场的重返之旅。该品牌还将从今年开始在当地组建经销商网络。

上汽同澳大利亚Longwell Motor公司展开合作，后者是MG在澳大利亚的独家进口商。Longwell Motor公司从中国进口MG6轿车和MG6 Fastback两款车型，这两款车型均采用一台1.8升涡轮增压汽油发动机，功率118千瓦，扭矩215牛·米。

MG计划今年着手在澳大利亚建立经销网络，年内将开设6到8家MG经销店，到2014年年底经销店总数将达到20家。MG品牌第一家经销店将位于悉尼市Longwell Motor公司侧畔。
