To underscore its high-end status, Great Wall Motor has renamed the Haval H7, debuted at the 2012 Beijing auto show, as the H8, distancing it from the H6 larger-compact/mid-size.

the new flagship model in the Haval SUV lineup has a 2915mm wheelbase and is 4800mm long, 1938mm wide, and 1785mm tall. Of uni-body design, it is underpinned by double wishbones at the front and multi links in the rear. Real-time 4WD configurations are provided.

动力：2.0T增压动力+6AT

动力方面，哈弗H8将配备一台编号为GW4C20的2.0T涡轮增压发动机。该发动机最大功率达到160kW/5500rpm，峰值扭矩达到324N·m/1800-4000rpm。与之匹配的是一款6速自动变速器。从曝光的资料来看，该车最高时速大于180km/h，百公里综合油耗为10.6L。

在行走机构上，哈弗H8将使用适时四驱系统，前双叉臂后多连杆的悬挂系统无论舒适性，还是操控性都比较有利。
