How to tell Chinese Flankers apart
- J-11: By mid-2002, an upgraded J11B was revealed as J11A now didn’t satisfy PLAAF requirements.
- J-16: From the Su-30 MKK, China produced their latest flanker J16, which also included features they learned from the other twin seater J11BS. J16 also supposedly sports an AESA radar, powered by WS10B and carries a lot of stuff like PL-8, PL-10 air-to-air missiles, super and subsonic anti-ship missiles, satellite guided bombs, cruise missiles and electronic countermeasure.
