At 15:40 Beijing time on September 24th, Lance, ES8 Owner 0312#, successfully arrived at the Purog Kangri glacier in Tibet together with NIO’s service team. At the height of 5715.28 meters and a temperature of minus 5 degrees Celsius, this set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM TITLE—Highest altitude achieved in an electric car.
Hyundai Kona beats Nio ES8 in Guinness Record for highest altitude achieved in an electric car

The all-electric Hyundai Kona has set a Guinness World Record for the highest altitude achieved in an electric car. The Kona was driven to an altitude of 5,731 meters to Sawula Pass in Tibet, breaking the previous record of 5,715.28 meters altitude by the Chinese car Nio ES8 in September 2018.
