Dutch transport company places largest order in the EU for electric buses

Keolis Nederland, formerly known as Syntus, has placed an order for 259 electric buses with the Chinese BYD. It is therefore the largest European order for emission-free buses to date.

Keolis Nederland, part of the international transport company Keolis, orders large and medium-sized buses. The majority of the copies, 206, are the 12-meter BYD electric bus. In addition, Keolis buys 13-meter-long copies and the BYD midibus measuring 8.7 meters.

The first BYD electric buses will be delivered in the summer of 2020, after which they will be deployed in Apeldoorn, Lelystad and Zwolle, among others. In Europe, more than twelve hundred electric buses run by the Chinese BYD.
