These are the conditions for New Energy Vehicles in China:
Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV): Electric range ≥ 100km, Maximum vehicle speed ≥ 100km / h
Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV): Electric range ≥ 50km
Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV): Electric range ≥ 300km
Ordinary hybrids do not qualify as a NEV vehicle.

The sale of so-called new-energy vehicles, the collective name of the Chinese authorities for hybrids, plug-in hybrid vehicles and electric cars, was 51 percent higher in October. For the first ten months of the year the counter stands at 860,000 new-energy vehicles, a plus of 75.6 percent.
